Ana Prodanovic (Cacak, 1991) completed undergraduate studies in 2014 and Master studies in 2015, at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Graphics and Book Design Department in Belgrade. She is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, where she has been a student demonstrator at Calligraphy and Typeface course since 2015. She deals with the design of typographic letters. In 2016 she published the Obla font family. Since 2017 she has been a student demonstrator in the field of Graphic Media Design at the School of Computing. Moreover, she deals with graphic arts, and actively holds exhibitions at domestic and international events.
During her studies, she held solo exhibitions: A Man in Time, the Art Center Gallery, Belgrade; the Faculty of Teacher Education Belgrade, Uzice, and the SKC Gallery, Belgrade; Natural Processes, The Risim Gallery, Cacak; The Exhibition of the students of the generation 2013/2014 at the Faculty of Arts, The FLU Gallery, Belgrade.
She has participated in more than 30 group exhibitions in Serbia (Belgrade, Uzice, Kraljevo, Gornji MIlanovac, Pancevo, Cacak), and abroad (Egypt, Poland, Austria, Canada, Japan).
She has been awarded three times at international competitions for graphic arts (for the best linocut, Linoart 2012; At the International Graphic Art Biennale “Dry Point” Uzice, 2013; The 8th EX-YU Graphic Competition, 2014). Furthermore, she has received four faculty prizes from different funds (for the best graphic papers, typeface, for the highest average grade at undergraduate studies) She was the best student in her generation at the Faculty of Applied Arts in 2014. Ana has been awarded the following prizes for Typeface Design:
