Students learn the principles of visual design. They are capable of analysing and comparing the design procedures, as well as thinking abstractly about a particular form of design. They learn about the basic functions of the tools used for illustration and photography, i.e. how to achieve design quality using the software for image editing and creation. Teaching relies on examples from art history, graphic design and photography. The objective of this course is to prepare the students for the development in the fields of illustration, photography and graphic design. In addition, the students are informed about the selected achievements in the history of film.
