Students are improving in specialised areas of graphic media design, and are engaged in research and critical work relevant to designing the printed form of their master’s theses (final papers). They learn about the selected qualities of contemporary design and artistic practises, on the basis of which they should (re)define the standards of the use of typography, illustration or photography in the given forms of graphic design. They deal with a comparative analysis of the design agencies and studies. Students are particularly trained to criticise the state of design in the domain of visual arts, according to which they create the design of the printed form of their own final papers. Actually, the learning outcome is to plan the printed form of their theses or the design of successive papers used for illustrating, examining or confirming theoretical hypotheses relevant for the final papers in the categories of graphic design.
