Students understand an interactive, changing and a global nature of the web. They learn about the history of web design, analyse and compare selected contemporary tendencies. They also learn about the technical web standards and the software relevant for web design. They definine the units of measurement for the web and other key terms (hosting, domen, link, layout, grid, frontend, backend, SEO, FTP, etc.) They learn to plan web design, both individually and in teams. They study the correlation between the theory of forms and web design. They also learn to define the visual concept and the map of a site. Furtehmore, they study the models of work coordination (work share) with programmers and experts from other fields. They learn how to review and update the content of web presentations. Practical classes include: learning HTML and CSS, learning the basics of JavaScript, designing a site in Photoshop or Illustrator, analysing static and dynamic sites (the basics of PHP), familiarising with CMS platforms and designing for WordPress, programming design adaptability (Mobile first and responsive design), learning the features of typography, photography and 3D graphics on the web, etc.
